Wrestler Strike News: Farmers have demanded from the central government regarding the arrest of BJP MP and former president of Wrestling Association of India, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Farmers have been given time till June 9 and if Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh is not arrested by June 9, panchayats will be held across the country. This is to say of farmer leader Rakesh Tikait. Tikait said this in the Khap Mahapanchayat organized on June 2 in Kurukshetra, Haryana. On the other hand, the Ayodhya administration has not given permission to Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh to hold a rally on 5th June, which means that his rally to be held on 5th June has been postponed by the administration. Let’s try to know why Brajbhushan Singh’s rally has been canceled and what farmer leader Rakesh Takait said about the wrestlers’ movement today.
What did farmer leader Rakesh Tikait say-
Today, on June 02, Khap Panchayats held an important meeting in Kurukshetra, Haryana. Many major decisions have been taken in this meeting. After the meeting, the farmer leaders talked about arresting Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh by June 09, and for failing to do so, it was said to hold panchayats at different places in the country. Meanwhile, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said many things, he said-
“We have decided that the government should address the grievances of the wrestlers. Also he (Brijbhushan Sharan Singh) should be arrested. We will not settle for anything less than his arrest. Will go to Delhi’s Jantar Mantar with him.”
The Khap leader also said that if he is not allowed to sit in Jantar Mantar, then there will be agitation in the whole country.
Why was Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh’s rally cancelled?
Let us now know why the administration canceled Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh’s rally which was to be held in Ayodhya on 5th June. In fact, the administration has not given him permission to hold a rally in Ayodhya on June 5. After this, the MP issued a statement announcing the cancellation of the rally. Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh said in his statement-
“My dear well wishers!
With your support, I have served as a member of the Lok Sabha for the last 28 years. I have tried to unite people of all castes, communities and religions while in power and in opposition. It is for these reasons that my political opponents and their parties have leveled false allegations against me. In the present situation, some political parties are trying to disturb the social harmony by promoting provincialism, regionalism and caste conflict by holding rallies at various places. The purpose is that it was decided to hold a Sant Sammelan at Ayodhya on 5th June to deliberate on the evil spreading in the entire society, but now that the police is investigating the allegations and respecting the serious directions of the Supreme Court The Jan Chetna Maharally, June 5, Ayodhya Chalo program has been postponed for a few days.
Lakhs of supporters and well wishers from all religions, castes and regions have supported me in a humble way on this issue. That’s why I express my gratitude to everyone and assure that I and my family will always be indebted to you.”
Tikait told why Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh canceled the rally-
Rakesh Tikait attacked MP Braj Bhushan as soon as his rally was cancelled. he said that
“He (Brijbhushan Sharan) canceled his June 5 rally in Ayodhya because of pressure from the khap mahapanchayat.”
He also said that
“President Draupadi Murmu’s statement on the matter is probably that justice should be meted out. This too has happened under the pressure of Khap.”
