Balasore Train Accident: A horrific train accident has taken place in Balasore, Odisha, in which the news of the death of 280 people is coming out till June 03, while it is being said that more than 1000 people have been injured in this incident. It is being speculated that the death toll may increase. There is an atmosphere of sorrow in the whole country due to the accident. According to the news till June 2, the number of dead was said to be 70, but by 09 am on June 03, this number has increased to 280 and rescue is still being done. Railway Minister Ashwin Vaishnav himself is monitoring the accident. The incident took place near Bahanaga Bazar station near Balasore.

Railway Minister announced compensation-

As soon as the news of the accident was received, the railway department was actively engaged in rescue operations. Railway Minister Ashwin Vaishnav is also taking stock of the accident by reaching the spot, as well as he has announced to give Rs 10 lakh to the dead and Rs 2 lakh to the seriously injured and Rs 50 thousand to the partially injured. Giving has been announced.

According to eyewitnesses, three trains collided with each other in the accident, out of which two are passenger trains and one is goods train. Eyewitnesses told that-

“First the Coromandel Express derailed. This train collided with the Yesvantpur Howrah Express coming from the other side. After that some coaches of the Coromandel Express derailed. Meanwhile, the Coromandel Express collided with a goods train standing at the station.”

Odisha Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena has informed that those injured in the train accident have been admitted to a hospital in Gopalpur. Apart from this, some injured have been admitted to the Medical College in Balasore.

Opposition is demanding resignation

For help in the accident, the government has issued helpline numbers- 033-26382217, 8972073925, 6782262286, 9332392339 and a high level committee has been announced for investigation. After the accident, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav is seen surrounded, now the leader of the opposition party is demanding the resignation of Railway Minister Ashwin Vaishnav. Trinamool Congress and CPI have demanded his resignation. Now it remains to be seen how the Modi Government and the Railway Department take this matter and whether the Railway Minister resigns.
