Kabir Das: Everyone wants to be
successful in their life, everyone wants to have a name in this world, live
their life happily and for this everyone starts working hard from their
childhood, although in childhood There is not so much understanding that what

couplets of Saint Kabir Das, which if you read well and take them down in your

दोहा-1. जाति न पूछो साधु
की, पूछ लीजिये ज्ञान।
मोल करो तरवार का, पड़ा रहन दो म्यान।।
Jati na pucho sadhu ki, puch lijiye gyan
Mol karo talwar ka, pada rehne do myan.
COUPLET-1. Don’t ask the caste of
the monk, ask the knowledge. Buy the sword, leave the sheath lying.
Meaning:- Kabir Das ji has told
through this couplet that man should take knowledge of every human being,
should respect his knowledge, should not ask him about his caste, which caste,
religion or creed he belongs to because Knowledge is best. Kabir Das ji is
further emphasizing in his talk that the way a sword is bought, the scabbard
(in which the sword is kept) is discarded, in the same way the knowledge of a
man should be taken and not his caste, religion. One should get entangled in
the subject of etc.
दोहा- 2. माटी कहे कुम्हार
से, तू क्या रोंदे मोहे।
एक दिन ऐसा आएगा, मैं रोंदूगी तोहे।।
Maatee Kahe Kumhaar Se, tu Kya Raunde Moy
Ek Din Aisa Aaega, Main Raundoongee Toy.
COUPLET- 2. When the soil says to
the potter, why do you make me cry. One day such a thing will come, I
will make you cry.
Meaning:- Kabir Das ji is trying
to tell the real truth of life through this couplet. Kabir Das ji says that the
soil tells the potter that today you are trampling me under your feet. A day
will also come when I will make you cry, that is, I will merge with myself. In
fact, here Kabir ji has reminded man of the end of his life and has tried to
tell that man should live in a simple way in life and should not jump too much
because as long as there is strength in the human body He can do anything and
then a day comes when man is not able to do anything, he gets mixed in the
soil.
दोहा- 3. बड़ा हुआ तो क्या
हुआ, जैसे पेड़ खजूर।
पंथी को छाया नहीं, फल लागे अति दूर।।
Bada hua to kya hua, jaise ped khajur
Panthi ko chhaya nahi, fal lage ati dur.
COUPLET- 3. What happened when it
grew up, like a palm tree. There is no shade for the follower,
the fruits are very far away.
Meaning:- Through this couplet,
Kabir Das ji has told that there is no use in growing like a date palm tree,
because it neither gives shade to the travelers, nor can its fruits be plucked
easily. That is, no one is benefited by the mere display of greatness. This is
the meaning of couplet, in fact, through this couplet, Kabir ji has tried to
give a big message that no matter how rich he becomes or how much mastery he
achieves in any subject, by bowing down to him He should remain otherwise he
has no tail, when no one benefits from such a person, then what is the point of
being so big.
दोहा- 4. निंदक नियरे
राखिए, ऑंगन कुटी छवाय।
बिन पानी, साबुन बिना, निर्मल करे सुभाय।।
Nindak Neda Raakhiye, Aangani Kutee chavaay
Bin Saaban Paanneen Bina, Niramal Karai Subhay.
COUPLET- 4. Keep the slanderers
near, the courtyard gets painted. Without water, without soap, clean
the morning.
Meaning: – Through this couplet,
Kabir Das ji has said that those who criticize you, you should keep them with
yourself because they purify your nature without water and soap. The meaning of
saying is that people who keep doing evil to you should always be kept with you
because they keep telling you your mistakes without money and you can make your
life meaningful by correcting those mistakes, that too for free. .
दोहा- 5. दुःख में सुमिरन
सब करे, सुख में करे न कोय ।
जो सुख में सुमिरन करे, तो दुःख काहे को होय।।
Dukh me sumiran sab kare, Sukh me kare na koy
Jo sukh sumiran kare, Dukh kahe ko hoy.
COUPLET- 5. Everyone remembers in
sorrow, no one does in happiness. The one who remembers in
happiness,
then why should there be sorrow.
Meaning: – Through this couplet,
Kabir Das ji has said that when sorrow comes in the life of every human being,
then he starts remembering (remembering) the Lord and when happiness comes, he
forgets the Lord. Further, Kabir ji says that if a man starts remembering
(remembering) the Lord with the same feeling even in happiness, then there will
be no sorrow.
दोहा- 6 बोली एक अनमोल है,
जो कोई बोलै जानि।
हिये तराजू तौलि के, तब मुख बाहर आनि।।
boli ek anamol hai, jo koi bolai jaani
hiye taraajoo tauli ke, tab mukh baahar aani.
COUPLET-6 A quote is priceless,
whoever speaks it knows. Weighed the scales, then the mouth
came out.
Meaning:- In this couplet, Kabir
Das ji says that speech is very priceless, whoever knows how to speak properly,
then he knows that speech is a priceless gem. That’s why he lets the words come
out of his mouth only after weighing them in the scales of his heart. The
meaning of saying is that words have great importance in life and that is why a
man should weigh each and every word and speak thoughtfully.
दोहा- 7. हिन्दू कहें मोहि
राम पियारा, तुर्क कहें
रहमाना।
आपस में दोउ लड़ी-लड़ी मुए, मरम न कोउ जाना।।
Hindoo Kahen Mohi Raam Piyaara, Turk Kahen
Rahamaana,
Aapas Mein Dou Ladee Ladee Mue, Maram Na Kou Jaana.
COUPLET-7. Hindus say Mohi Ram
Piyara, Turks say Rahmana. We fought with each other, no one
knew the sorrow.
Meaning:- Kabir Das ji says that
Hindu says that I love Ram and Turk (Muslim) says that I love Rahman. On this matter, both of them
fought and reached the mouth of death, but neither of them could know the truth
till their last breath. The meaning of saying is that man
should not get into the affair of religion, caste, creed etc. because all this
only wastes time, no one gets anything.
दोहा- 8. अति का भला न बोलना, अति की भली न चूप।
अति का भला न बरसना, अति की भली न धूप।।
Ati
Ka Bhala Na Bolana, Ati Kee Bhalee Na Choop
Ati
Ka Bhala Na Barasana, Ati Kee Bhalee Na Dhoop.
COUPLET- 8. Don’t speak too much
good, don’t be silent too much. Too much rain is not good, too much
sunshine is not good.
Meaning:- Kabir Das ji has said
through this couplet that man should neither speak too much nor keep silent too
much like too much rain is not good and too much sunlight is also not good so
Kabir ji here Wanting to say that man should not overdo any work because it is
not right for life
दोहा- 9. गुरु गोविंद दोउ खड़े, काको लागूं पाय।
बलिहारी गुरु आपने, गोविंन्द दियो बताय।।
Guru govind dono khade, kaake lagu paaye
Balihari guru aapne, govind diyo
bataye.
COUPLET- 9. Guru Govind Dou
Khade, Kako Lagu Pai. Balihari Guru, you told Govind
Diya.
Meaning:- Kabir ji is saying
through this couplet that if Guru (Teacher) and Gobind (God) stand together
then who should be saluted? To the Guru or to Gobind? In such a situation, it
is better to bow down at the feet of the Guru, by whose grace I got the good
fortune to see Govinda. That means Guru is more superior in Guru and Govind
because if his grace remains then one can have darshan of Govind at any time.
दोहा- 10. करता था सो क्यों किया, अब करि क्यों पछताय।
बोया पेड़ बबूल का,
तो आम कहां से खाए।।
Karata Tha To Kyu Rahya, Aub Kari Kyu
Pachhtaay
Boya Ped Babool Ka, Aumb Kaha se Khaay.
COUPLET- 10. Used to do so why
did it, now why do you repent. If you sow an acacia tree, then
where will you eat mangoes from?
Meaning:- Kabir Das ji says
through this couplet that O man, when you used to do bad deeds, then why did
you do such a bad deed and now you have done bad deeds, then why are you
repenting now when you yourself used to do Bamur i.e. thorns. If you have sown
a tree, then from where will you get sweet mangoes to eat? The meaning of saying
is that a man should not do bad deeds, otherwise he gets destroyed later and
then there is no benefit from crying.
दोहा- 11. माया मरी न मन
मरा, मर मर गया शरीर।
आषा तृष्णा ना मरी,
कह गये दास कबीर।।
Maya Mari Na Man Mara, Mar Mar Gaye
Shareer
Asha Trishna Na Mari, Keh Gaye Das Kabir.
COUPLET- 11. Maya died, neither
the mind died, the body died. Hope and thirst did not die,
said Das Kabir.
Meaning:- Kabir Das ji says
through this couplet that a man’s illusion i.e. greed and mind i.e. longing
never dies, the body of a man dies again and again. Kabir ji has said that
man’s hope and desire do not die. The basic meaning of this couplet is that a
man’s body dies many times but the disorders living in the mind do not die,
that is why man does not succeed in life, that is, if you want to be successful
in life, then it is necessary to destroy the disorders of your mind first. Is.
दोहा- 12. बुरा जो देखन मैं चला, बुरा न मिलिया कोय।
जो दिल खोजा आपना,
मुझसे बुरा न कोय।।
Bura Jo Dekhan Main Chala, Bura Na Miliya Koy
Jo Dil Khoja Aapana, Mujhse Bura Na Koy.
COUPLET- 12. Whatever bad I went
to see, I did not find anyone bad. No one is worse than me who
searches your heart.
Meaning:- Kabir Das ji says that
when I went out to see the bad in this world, I did not find any bad and when I
looked inside myself, the worst turned out to be me, that is, if we see the bad
of people, we will not find any bad. And if we look inside ourselves, then we
will find all the evil within ourselves, so there is a need to improve
ourselves in life, not the world.
