The changes due to this are as follows-
Uniform Civil Code ie Uniform Civil Code means having a common law for every citizen living in India, irrespective of religion or caste. As soon as it comes into force, the same rules will apply to the personal life of all the citizens living in the country. Same law will be applicable for all religions in Samna Civil Code for marriage, divorce and distribution of property, it is a fair law which has no relation with any religion.
The Uniform Civil Code is already in force in the state of Goa and it is the only state in the country where this law is applicable.
After becoming the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand for the second time, Pushkar Singh Dhami took a big decision and fulfilled the promise made to the public and formed a committee regarding the Uniform Civil Code, which would prepare the draft of this law. Now it has to be seen that when and what steps will the central government take in this matter.
Many organizations and people are strongly supporting this law, but many organizations and people are also strongly opposing this law. Allows a resident citizen to follow his/her religion, act according to it (marriage and beget children), and propagate his/her religion.
Even though the BJP-ruled states are preparing to make a law regarding the Uniform Civil Code, but if it is to be implemented in the entire country, then the central government will have to make a law for it.
