 Bypoll Result: For the first time after the Lok Sabha elections, assembly elections were held in the country, these elections were by-elections in which the eyes of the people of the country were fixed. Voting was held on July 10 for by-elections on 13 assembly seats of seven states. By-elections were to be held in four seats of West Bengal, three of Himachal Pradesh, two of Uttarakhand and one seat each of Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar and Tamil Nadu. Today i.e. on Saturday, July 13, the result of the by-election has been declared and this result has given a huge blow to the BJP and the India Alliance has benefited a lot. These by-elections have been held due to the resignation of MLAs of many states and the death of MLAs of many states. Out of 13 assembly seats, MLAs of 10 assembly seats had resigned while MLAs of 3 assembly seats had died. (By-election results)

The Election Commission officially declared the results of the assembly by-election on 07 July 2024. Out of 13 assembly seats, the candidate of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has won 10 seats. BJP has won one seat each in Himachal and Madhya Pradesh and an independent candidate has won one seat in Bihar. 121 veterans had tried their luck in this by-election. Many veterans including Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu’s wife Kamlesh Thakur and some new faces also participated in this by-election. All the seats in West Bengal went to the TMC’s account. Here Krishna Kalyani in Raiganj, Madhuparna Thakur in Bagda, Mukut Mani Adhikari in Ranaghat South and Supti Pandey in Maniktala have won. BJP’s Kamlesh Pratap Shah has won the Amarwara seat in Madhya Pradesh. In Uttarakhand, Congress’ Lakhpat Singh Butola has won the Badrinath seat and Congress’ Qazi Mohammad Nizamuddin has won the Mangalore seat. Shankar Singh, who rebelled against LJP (Ram Vilas) and contested the Rupauli seat in Bihar, has won. DMK’s Anniyur Shiva has won the Vikravandi assembly seat in Tamil Nadu. AAP’s Mohinder Bhagat has won the Jalandhar West seat in Punjab. Congress’ Kamlesh Thakur from Himachal’s Dehra seat, Congress’ Hardeep Singh Bawa from Nalagarh and BJP’s Ashish Sharma from Hamirpur have won. (bypoll result/by-election result)
